Warrane are pleased to announce the approval of their Development Application (DA) for the redevelopment of the carpark at Woonona Bulli RSL. After several iterations and meticulous planning, the DA has been granted, marking a significant milestone in the project’s progress.
The Woonona Bulli RSL Club has made the strategic decision to undertake the carpark construction works in two stages. The decision to proceed with the first stage was driven by the club’s immediate priority to provide a new and larger car park to enhance the visitor experience. While the second stage, which includes the construction of a new ramp and new entries, is still under consideration due to time constraints.
The first stage of the redevelopment will focus on reconfiguring and enlarging the carpark. The design aims to create a relatively flat-grade car park, ensuring convenient and safe access for visitors. As part of the redevelopment, Warrane will also introduce new line marking, landscaping, a war memorial, and a pergola, enriching the overall aesthetic appeal of the area.
“We are thrilled to have received approval for the carpark redevelopment at Woonona Bulli RSL,” said Joe Stephen, Co-Founder of Warrane. “Our team has worked diligently to refine the plans, taking into account the needs of the club and the local community. We are committed to delivering an upgraded carpark that not only enhances functionality but also adds value to the overall visitor experience.”
Warrane is now actively working towards obtaining the necessary construction certificate to commence the first stage of works promptly. The team is dedicated to ensuring the smooth execution of the project, adhering to the highest quality standards and maintaining open communication with all stakeholders involved.
The carpark redevelopment at Woonona Bulli RSL is poised to make a positive impact on the local community by addressing parking concerns and improving accessibility for club members and visitors alike. Warrane remains committed to delivering a redevelopment that aligns with the club’s vision while considering cost-effective solutions to meet their requirements.
With the DA successfully approved, Warrane are now focused on preparing for the construction certificate submission. The team is diligently working towards finalising the necessary documentation to submit to the private certifier with a timely submission in July 2023, in anticipation that approvals will be granted by August 2023. Once the construction certificates are received, the formal tendering process will begin so the project can be delivered on time and on budget.
